About Us

Clarity Security Training aims to provide relevant and appropriate Security Training for Humanitarian Staff at a reasonable price and within an hour of London.

Our courses aim to equip Humanitarian Staff with skills to both prevent and respond to the most prevalent security threats.

Our instructors are experienced in managing humanitarian programmes as well as security so they understand the concept of security within the context of humanitarian operations.

We are based in Northamptonshire within easy reach of London, the Home Counties, Birmingham, Cambridge and Oxford.

Clarity Security Training is run by Dave Heed who has worked in the humanitarian sector for the last 12 years.

He began his career working in logistics progressing to programme management and post 9/11 became increasingly focused on security.

Dave has worked in many locations including Afghanistan, Bosnia, Darfur, Iraq, Indonesia, Tajikistan, Ethiopia and Malawi.

With a degree in Disaster Management and a background in military risk management Dave also works as a security consultant to the humanitarian sector and is a member of the British Red Cross Emergency Response Unit.
